Jonathan Young – Director of 401(k) and Investments
Jonathan Young serves as the Director of 401(k) and Investments at the IAM National Benefit Office. Jonathan oversees day-to-day operations of the Investment and 401(k) departments. He is responsible for Investment operations across all three Funds at the Benefit Funds Office. He monitors the Funds third-party investment consultants, custodian, and service providers to ensure policy guidelines and contracts are being followed and Board of Trustee directives are completed. The Board of Trustees for each Fund are responsible for making Investment decisions. As 401(k) Director, Jonathan coordinates day-to-day operations at the Benefit Fund Office to ensure information flows smoothly between the participants, employers, recordkeeper and Benefit Fund Office.
Prior to joining the Benefit Funds Office in 2017, Jonathan spent 22 years in the hedge fund industry. He led mid and back office operation departments in the managed futures and global macro spaces. Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics-Operations Research from Columbia University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Maryland.
