As a Plan participant, you should designate a beneficiary(ies) for your pension benefit in the event of your death. Please refer to plan documents regarding eligible beneficiary designations.

For Participants Who Are Not Yet Receiving Pension Benefits

Beneficiary designations are used to determine the applicable beneficiaries for payment of certain pre-retirement and post-retirement death benefits. For detailed information regarding beneficiaries, please refer to the Summary Plan Description (SPD) (PDF).

To view your designated beneficiary or update your existing beneficiaries, please log in to you PSS account by clicking here. You may also send a new beneficiary designation form (PDF) to the Fund Office. If you do not have a printer, you can request a form by email at contact@iamnpf.org, or call the Fund Office at 800-424-9608.

For Benefit Recipients

If you are already receiving pension benefits, you cannot change your beneficiaries.
